Heat Treatment

For bigger size castings we have 5 MT capacity oil fired Heat Treatment Furnace with several specialities. Among them are ----

• Extractor based on independent crane for loading of charge & for quenching. It can perform quench of 5MT load in less than 30 seconds.
• 66000 Liter capacity water tank provided with the large water pump for removing any bubbles & fast cooling coupled with a cooling tower. This arrangement ensures that water temperature is always below 30° C.
• Paperless chart recorder
• Computerized record of individual thermocouples
• Calibration as per API 600 (Appendix H) / ASTM A 991
• Facility for temperature gradient in several steps mainly for Duplex & Super Duplex Stainless Steel.

The special arrangements ensure high Impact values in Duplex Stainless Steel & excellent Corrosion Resistance in Austenitic Stainless steel
